Raphaël Nussbaumer
Geneva, 1968

Licenced architect of ETHZ,
Nussbaumer has worked independently
in Geneva and Zurich since 1999.
After completing his architectural degree
in 1995, he began his career in the
Barcelona office of Josep Lluìs Mateo
before pursuing practice in following
Swiss-German firms: Fuhrimann Hächler,
Bosshard Luchsinger, Ueli Zbinden
The recent experience as a teaching assistant for visiting professors
Lacaton & Vassal at the Swiss Polytechnic
School of Lausanne (EPFL) stressed
the importance of housing issues in
Europe and the contemporary approach
they require. A multidisciplinary practice on
many occasions has enabled Nussbaumer
to develop a critical thinking on the
urban social context.
